The Reverend Dr. Raymond Larson was born on a farm in MN and has spent most of his career in ministry in that state. He is a graduate of United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities and has his Doctor of Ministry from Union/PSCE of Richmond VA. Since being ordained in 1974, Ray has served in 6 different parishes as installed pastor or Interim Pastor. In addition he has served twice as an Executive Presbytery. Ray and Judie were married in 1965 and have two daughters, both teachers in the public school system of MN. Their daughters (Jeanine and Beth) are married and each has two children. Judie is a retired surgical nurse and has been very active in various musical ministries where the Larsons have been located. The Larsons' home base is Breezy Point, MN on Pelican Lake where they have a condo.
Associate Pastor
The Reverend Dr. James A. Churchill was ordained by Donegal Presbytery in July 1972. His first church call was here at PPC from 1972 - 1977. He served churches in Knoxville, TN and in Pittsburgh, PA before returning to PPC in 1990. His primary responsibilities include oversight for Christian Nuture (Adults, Youth & Children), teaching, leadership development, small group development and hospital & homebound visitation. Jim's education background includes the Atkins Pickle Plant, Arkansas Tech University (baseball and football), and three advanced degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary, including a Doctor of Ministry degree in 1986. Jim is happily married to Elana.
Pastor Emeritus with wife Patricia
The Reverend Dr. Richard R. Streeter and his wife, Patricia, grew up on the South Side of Syracuse, New York, a working class neighborhood. They both attended public schools and then the same high school, Onondaga Valley Academy.
Patricia studied music (voice) privately and then at the University of the Ozarks and Arkansas Tech University when they moved to Arkansas for their first pastorate. After a career with the airlines, Patricia spent most of her time as a full time mother of five and a pastor's wife.
Richard attended Colgate University - B.A., Princeton Theological Seminary - Master of Divinity, Boston University School of Theology - STM (psychology & counseling) and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary - Doctor of Divinity (now Palmer Seminary, part of Eastern University). Dr. Streeter is also a mason by trade, a gift acquired while working his way through so much schooling.
Patricia and Dick have held pastorates in Atkins and then Yellville, Arkansas, Andover, Massachusetts (assistant with youth), Rahway, New Jersey and Paoli, Pennsylvania where they retired in 2003 after almost 32 years of ministry with Paoli Presbyterian Church.
Patricia and Dick still reside in Paoli. All five children and spouses and eleven grandchildren, the whole bunch are the joy and light of their lives, live within 15-30 minutes (depending on the traffic). Joy and rejoicing by and for all.
Church Administrator
Jonathan Mikesell joined our staff in March, 2009. He previously served as Assistant Pastor/Church Business Administrator at First Wesleyan Church (Willow Grove, PA) and as Pastor at Lititz Wesleyan Church (Lititz, PA). Jonathan is a graduate of Messiah College (BA in Mathematics/Bible) and Asbury Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity). He is an ordained minister in The Wesleyan Church. Jonathan and his family reside in Horsham, PA. In addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys sports (especially golf and football), reading, and logic puzzles.
Director of Children's Ministires
Daphne Hager earned her BS Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Maryland. She has worked in the field of education for over 20 years. Daphne has been a member of Paoli Presbyterian Church since 1992. She resides in West Chester, PA with her husband Dan. Their son Jim completed grad school and works in the aerospace field in Orlando, Florida. Still at home are Quinn who is in High School, and Holly who is in Middle School. In her spare time she enjoys playing tennis and paddle, reading, and crossword puzzles. Her hope for the children of PPC is to assist them in the development of their faith in Christ by providing a safe and nurturing environment and to encourage parents to see the importance of their role in regular church school attendance for the spiritual education of their children.
Director of Youth Ministries
The Reverend Jill Laufenberg is a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University, obtaining her degrees in Biblical Studies and specializing in Youth Ministry. Jill has served as the Campus Minister & Executive Director of Asbury Protestant Ministry for Drexel & Temple Universities. She has over a decade of experience in youth ministry, having also served as the Youth Director for The 1st Congregational Church of Chester, NJ and the Minister of Youth & Young Adults at West Chester United Methodist Church. Her most recent position is as Executive Director of Ministry Development for Metro-Philadelphia Youth for Christ. Jill still holds this position, facilitating the start-up of urban youth centers across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery & Philadelphia Counties while equipping churches in those communities to serve young people.In addition, Jill has studied art in NYC at the undergraduate level and continues to be commissioned for portraits. She is passionate about social justice and helping youth grasp the importance of helping others in need. Above all, she has a heart for teenagers, strengthening their faith and empowering others to work with them. Jill and her husband, Jay, live in West Chester.
Jr. High Youth Coordinator
Marshall Bell is a recent graduate from New York University, where he majored in Journalism and Metropolitan Studies while serving valuable internships at major networks such as CNN and ESPN. With dreams of becoming a sportswriter, Marshall quickly realized that God had other plans.
He grew up in Paoli and was active in the PPC Youth Group when in high school and then remained involved as a college leader for the past 4 years. His passion for hanging out with Jr. High teens is what called him to the position at Paoli Presbyterian Church.
He enjoys playing golf, guitar, basketball and watching anything related to Philadelphia Sports. He may or may not have hit a hole-in-one at some point in his life.
Director of Communications
Angie Schnetzka became a part of PPC in February 2007. She grew up in the surrounding suburbs of York, PA (birthplace of York Peppermint Pattie). Her parents, Richard and Patricia Schnetzka still reside there. Angie grew up attending St. Stephen’s UCC in York, and has fond memories of her Sunday school teachers, VBS, and the annual church picnic where she always lost at bingo!
Angie graduated from York Technical Institute in 2000, where she studied travel and tourism. After working for York Aviation, she attended Dowling College on Long Island, NY. She transferred to Temple University in 2002, and graduated in 2006 with a BA degree in broadcasting, and mass media, along with a minor in advertising. While in college Angie was a member of Program Board, Temple American Advertising Federation, served as secretary and treasurer for Gamma Sigma Sigma (national community service sorority), was the office manager for 1610AM-WRFT, and also served as a Temple Ambler student ambassador. She enjoys playing her harmonica, taking last minute trips, exploring the greater Philadelphia area, reading, knitting and hopes to own a few goats someday. Angie currently resides in Malvern.
